Unnayan Mishra

Unnayan Mishra, a B.A., LL.B. (Hons) graduate from NALSAR University, Hyderabad, is one of the co-founders of ArbDossier ICAR. Passionate, dedicated and goal-oriented, Unnayan has substantiated his keen interest in arbitration by interning under luminaries like Justice BN Srikrishna and Dr. Kabir Duggal. Under them, he gained experience in the practicalities of arbitration in India, and in investor-state dispute resolution and international commercial arbitration, respectively. His seasoned experience in competitions like Frankfurt Investment Arbitration Moot, 2019, International Mediation Singapore, 2019, CDRC Vienna 2021, INADR Georgia 2021 and Vis Vienna 2022, where he has collected enviable and unparalleled accolades highlight his passion for arbitration. His acumen in arbitration is further evidenced by his assistance on the editing and drafting of a Chapter on Enforcement of arbitral awards in the Kluwer treatise named ‘Arbitration in India’, by Prof. Martin Hunter & others. He has been placed with a Dispute Resolution team at Trilegal, Mumbai, starting his tenure at the prestigious firm in July, 2022. He is thrilled by ArbDossier ICAR’s inception, with his vision of a comprehensive and accessible knowledge source of international arbitration for the global arbitration community finally coming to fruition.

 

Anoushka Ishwar

Anoushka Ishwar, from National Law Institute University, Bhopal, is one of the co-founders of ArbDossier ICAR. An academically well inclined student, she has also completed a semester abroad in the University of Lucerne, Switzerland. Anoushka has always believed in having one foot in every door, which has allowed her to accumulate a varied set of experiences. She has participated and collected accolades in a fair share of international tournaments, including the Phillip C. Jessup, Willem C Vis Hong Kong and ICC HongKong. Being extremely enthusiastic and passionate about access and publication of quality legal scholarship, she has and continues to hold leadership roles across various journals and platforms, including her University’s flagship Law Review. Further, she is a staunch believer in contributing to the community of which one is a part. Placed with the prestigious Cyril Amarchand Mangaldas, she looks forward to her journey there. Therefore few of the driving forces for her involvement in this project was the determination to improve access and range of arbitration literature available and effectively level the playing field for one and all interested.

 

Threcy Lawrence

Threcy Lawrence, from National Law University, Delhi is one of the co-founders of ArbDossier ICAR. She is an incoming associate at Saraf & Partners in Delhi. An academically bright student, Threcy is the recipient of the Lithuanian-state scholarship to study at Mykolas Romeris University for a semester exchange, where she will be pursuing courses on International Arbitration. She is an avid mooter and has collected accolades and participated in reputed international arbitration tournaments such as the Frankfurt Investment Arbitration Moot and the Vis Vienna Competition. She was also the coach of her alma mater’s team which reached the semi-finals of Vis Vienna, 2021. Her keen interest in the field of International Arbitration led her to pursue research assistantships under two prominent scholars in the field, Prof. Julien Chaisse and Prof (Dr.) Nikos Lavranos where she has worked extensively on the intersections between international law, investment law and international economic law. Threcy has also been published on national and international blogs. She has also been active in social campaigns and volunteer work since school. Threcy’s drive and commitment to the work that she undertakes, makes her a valuable member of the team.

 

Mahima Nair

Mahima Nair, a B.A., LL.B. (Hons.) graduate from National Law University, Delhi is one of the co-founders of this forum. She is an incoming associate at Trilegal. An excellent student, a seasoned negotiator, Mahima has participated and won accolades in negotiation and dispute settlement competitions across the globe. Her team was deemed semi- finalist in the International Law school Mediation Tournament conducted by the International Academy of Dispute Resolution, Chicago as well as at the NLS Negotiation, Mediation and Client Counselling Competition. Backed with this experience, and with several publications under her belt, Mahima nurtures a keen interest in subjects ranging from Intellectual Property Rights, Technology Law, Arbitration to Competition Law. This zealousness, combined with her innovativeness was a crucial reason for the creation of the forum. Her attention to detail, and unique perspective makes her an integral, rather inevitable part of the team.
